Stepping Stones (Wednesday/Friday)

There are two Stepping Stones groups.  One is on a Friday which runs during the school term at 9.30-11.00am in church and is for parents with babies up to 1 year old.  It is a very relaxed time where you can come along and play with your baby in a safe environment and also make new friends with other mum’s and dad’s.  You will receive a warm welcome from a team of volunteers who also offer friendly advice on being a new parent as well as offering a listening ear if needed.

The other group is held on a Wednesday between 1.15 and 2.45pm in the church hall.  This group is aimed more at toddlers and is primarily for 1-3 year olds, although babies are always welcome.  There are a variety of toys for this age range plus craft and play-dough activities.  Our aim is to help you teach your child social skills such as sharing and playing alongside others, as well as being a place for you to make new friends.

Refreshments are provided at each group free of charge.  Both groups end with a time of singing children’s songs and prayer.

At Christmas and Easter both groups come together for a time of celebration usually with a ‘bring and share’ lunch and lots of themed activities around the event.  At the end of the summer term we go on an outing such as a picnic and games in the park or a trip to a children’s farm.
